Meet the Founder
Amanda Bailey-Ramos, Ed.D.
Founder & Lead Specialist
As a mother with over a decade of experience in personalized Special Education and over 20 years in business/finance, I founded EmpowerED Unique Pathways Education to empower every learner through individualized unique pathway-fostering confidence, independence, and a lifelong love of learning, with specialized expertise for students with disabilities.

Scott Bullock
Educator & Tutor
I'm an artist, musician, and proud to be going into my third year as a Special Education teacher. I love being creative, making music, and helping students discover their strengths and build confidence. I also have ADHD, which gives me a personal understanding of many of the challenges my students face. It helps me relate to them with patience, empathy, and the belief that everyone learns differently and that's something to be celebrated.
Dr. Kelly Lusk
Educator & Tutor
Kelly Lusk, Ph.D., received her bachelor's degree in French and secondary education, and her master's and doctoral degrees in special education with an emphasis in visual impairments from Vanderbilt University. She holds (or has held) teaching certifications in special education (visual impairment), math, and French. Dr. Lusk is currently the Director of Program Services at the Clovernook Center for the Blind & Visually Impaired in Cincinnati and has been a teacher of students with visual impairments (TVI) for over 20 years. She is also a clinical affiliate with the Division of Pediatric Ophthalmology at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center and is on faculty in the Department of Ophthalmology at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. Dr. Lusk specializes in pediatric low vision, literacy & braille/dual media, and working with children and families. She has presented nationally and internationally, and has authored and co-authored multiple journal articles and textbook chapters. She is currently an editor on the upcoming 3rd Edition of the Foundations of Low Vision textbook with APH Press. Dr. Lusk lives with her family in Florence, KY and loves cooking, traveling, cats, and all things French.
Sarah Woods
Educator & Tutor
Hi, my name is Sarah Woods. I am new to EmpowerED. I like to focus on basic needs such as math, money, time, early reading. I have 2 teenage kids and am married. I live in Southern Campbell co. with my family. I am going into my 8th year in education as a para educator. Look forward to working with you all!

Princess Rosebud is the heart and mascot of EmpowerED Unique Pathways Education. After years of devoted work as a classroom service dog, she's officially retired and now serves only one person — but she still cheers on every learner and supports EmpowerED Unique Pathways Education proudly from the sidelines.
